Those rubbers will keep away the ratlle in your clutch , set 9x for the CBX 1000 1980 A type #1 - Grind off the rivet heads #2 - With center punch and hammer, punch the existing rivets down just enough to remove the cover plate #3 - File sharp edges off rivets, then press them out with a small 5mm punch #4 - Picture of all old clean disassembled parts together #5 - Enlarge holes in cover plate with a 6.5mm drill #6 - Thread existing holes with an M6 tap #7 - Install the new rubber dampers #8 - Lightly grease the holes and the rubbers #9 - Apply Loctite (medium strength blue) inside the tapped holes, or on the bolts #10 - Use M6 buttonhead flange bolts supplied in kit. File heads to a maximum height of 1.7mm if necessary. #11 - Center punch the back side of the bolts to secure #12 - Assembled clutch basket, ready to install |
